We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addictions Counsellor to join our team at the Charles J Andrew Healing Centre. As an Addictions Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with addiction and substance abuse.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to address clients' addiction and mental health needs.
- Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches to promote recovery and well-being.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Develop and implement educational programs to raise awareness about addiction and mental health.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress and treatment plans.
- Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with addiction and mental health populations.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches and best practices in addiction and mental health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
