We are looking for SKILLED, VIBRANT, AND INTERACTIVE CHILDREN'S SWIM INSTRUCTORS IN OAKVILLE, ON (Please no summer job applicants)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver swim lessons according to the Goldfish Swim School curriculum while ensuring an enjoyable experience.
- Uphold safety protocols to avert accidents, and perform rescues and first aid as necessary.
- Assess students' progress to guarantee continuous improvement.
- Engage with parents/guardians regarding the advancement of their children's swimming abilities, acting as a representative to ensure satisfaction.
- Utilize problem-solving and creative thinking to address challenges faced by students.
- Inspect pool facilities before and after each session for maintenance, cleanliness, or damage, reporting any issues to management.
- Ensure proper storage and maintenance of all swimming equipment, including lane lines.
- Document and report any accidents or incidents to management as required.
- Occasionally assist with light cleaning tasks such as tidying the pool area and removing trash.
- Participate in training sessions as needed.
A commitment to work a minimum of two shifts per week is essential.
Education/Experience:
Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
Current Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross or NL certification is required.
Current Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED certification is necessary.
Previous experience in providing high-quality swimming instruction is preferred.
