Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Garage Door Installation Assistant to join our team at Overhead Door Corporation. As a key member of our crew, you will assist in the service and installation of overhead doors, working closely with our experienced technicians to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation and service of overhead doors, including sectional, rolling steel, and high-speed doors
  • Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff, construction project managers, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills and knowledge
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Perform daily tasks, including paperwork and administrative duties, to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance
  • Transport products safely and efficiently, using trailers and manlifts as required
  • Meet attendance and punctuality expectations, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects
  • Stay up-to-date with safety training and certifications, communicating requirements to the scheduler as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-6 months' experience in a relevant trade, such as construction, welding, or millwright
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools, electric tools, and ladders
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds or more, depending on job scope
  • Pass pre-employment screening requirements, including drug, alcohol, and health assessments
