Job Title: Garage Door Installer Helper

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Garage Door Installer Helper to join our team at Overhead Door Corporation. As a key member of our installation crew, you will assist in the service and installation of overhead doors, working closely with our experienced technicians to ensure seamless execution and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation and service of overhead doors, including sectional, rolling steel, high-speed, and specialty doors.
  • Perform site assessments and identify potential issues to ensure smooth installation and service processes.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff, construction project managers, customers, and other trades to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills and knowledge of overhead doors and related products.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive work environment by maintaining a professional demeanor, adhering to safety protocols, and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Perform general warehouse duties, including receiving and storing materials, and assisting with inventory management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-6 months' experience in a relevant trade, such as construction, welding, or millwright.
  • Resourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Any relevant safety training and tickets is an asset (WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid, etc.).
  • Knowledge of overhead doors and related products is an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds or more, depending on job scope.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements, including drug, alcohol, and health assessment.
