About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at Vertex Construction & Management Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing various types of floor coverings, including carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered; measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding; measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors; measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings; prepare and install hardwood floors; prepare floors for installations; remove existing floor coverings and contaminants.
  • Work Environment: Work in various locations, including residential and commercial settings.
  • Support for Diversity and Inclusion: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in floor covering installation is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials.
