About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at Lovely Renovation Toronto. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive top-notch flooring services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered and prepare them for installation by measuring, marking, and cleaning as needed.
  • Install Flooring: Measure, cut, and install carpeting, hardwood, and resilient floor coverings on floors, ensuring a precise and professional finish.
  • Remove Existing Flooring: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, and prepare floors for new installations.
  • Employ Equipment: Use knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting and ensure a smooth, even finish.
  • Inspect and Repair: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, and perform direct glue-down carpet installations.
Work Environment

As a Floor Covering Specialist, you will work in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial locations. You will be required to work on-site, interacting with clients and colleagues to ensure a seamless installation process.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands: This role requires physical stamina, as you will be handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling throughout the day.
  • Attention to Detail: You must have excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Organizational Skills: You must be organized and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
