About the Role

Woodstock Grocers is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Inventory Management
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business needs
    • Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of goods
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Vendor Management
    • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
    • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers
    • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Supply Chain Coordination
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
    • Manage transportation and logistics to ensure efficient delivery
    • Monitor and analyze supply chain metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement and inventory performance
    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
    • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or a related field
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Office
