Procurement Specialist

Woodstock Grocers is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for managing our inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring the smooth operation of our retail and wholesale establishment.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including tracking stock levels, verifying receipts, and reconciling physical inventories with computer counts.
- Purchasing and Procurement: Prepare and process purchase orders, requisition orders, and international purchase orders, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials.
- Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, and resolving delivery and other problems.
- Inventory Control: Implement and maintain an inventory control system, including setting up and maintaining inventory rotation, monitoring inventory levels, and compiling inventory reports.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks on received goods, verifying quantities, types, and values.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports, and records, including inventory costs, retail pricing, and profit reports.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Skills: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office, MS Windows, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, and repetitive tasks.
