Job Description: Senior Exhibit Designer

We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Exhibit Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and executing compelling exhibit designs that meet the unique needs of our clients.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of production drawings for both internal and external fabrication teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the Industrial Design Manager and Project Managers to ensure a thorough understanding of client requirements and project scope.
  • Develop concept packages and design presentations that effectively communicate your ideas to clients.
  • Create detailed 3D models and renderings to illustrate design concepts, ensuring structural integrity and visual appeal.
  • Refine designs based on feedback from the Industrial Design Manager, clients, and production teams.
  • Source materials and hardware for exhibit elements, adhering to budget constraints and project specifications.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Project Manager regarding completed tasks and any additional design requests or needs.
  • Mentor junior designers, providing guidance and support in developing their skills and expertise.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design (B.Des or B.A.) with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in exhibit design or a related field.
  • Exceptional ideation and sketching abilities, coupled with a strong understanding of contemporary aesthetics and storytelling principles.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Rhino, Solidworks, Keyshot) and rendering techniques.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Knowledge of mock-up/prototype methods and basic millwork construction.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
