Job Overview

The Talent Management Lead position encompasses a diverse range of Human Resources responsibilities, focusing on the implementation of Talent initiatives across various client groups. This role is pivotal in managing the daily operations of the Talent function, ensuring effective execution of programs and initiatives across internal teams. The Talent Management Lead will serve as a trusted advisor, offering strategic insights and solutions to enhance our Talent strategies. This position reports to the CTO with a dotted line to the Senior HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the CTO and Senior HR Manager in executing comprehensive Talent strategies.
  • Provide strategic Talent consulting to internal teams, emphasizing workforce planning and development.
  • Contribute to the design and rollout of impactful Talent programs, including performance management systems.
  • Manage employee relations issues and investigations for junior to mid-level staff to mitigate organizational risks.
  • Foster strong relationships and deliver exceptional client service to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at employee retention, engagement, recognition, and overall talent management.
  • Collaborate with Client Leads and managers regarding employees facing performance challenges.
  • Build partnerships with Resource Management and Talent Acquisition teams for designated client groups.
  • Educate on and implement Reasonable Accommodations and Flexible Work Arrangements.
  • Analyze and interpret talent data to inform decision-making.
  • Develop rapport with business leaders, establishing credibility as a Talent partner.
  • Provide coaching and mediation support for junior to mid-level employees.
  • Ensure the integrity of employee data is maintained.
  • Offer guidance and support on corporate policies and benefits programs.
  • Respond promptly to management inquiries regarding general Talent and HR matters.
  • Assist with various projects and team-building activities.
  • Help implement new Human Resources processes as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to local employment laws and regulations.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: University Degree or Community College diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 6-8 years in Human Resources in a comparable role.
  • Proficient in HRIS data tools (e.g., SAP, Workday).
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and relevant employment legislation.
  • Possess approachability, confidence, a sense of humor, and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels and collaborating with other departments (Finance, Resource Management, Talent Acquisition, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and a self-starter, able to thrive under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in areas such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Talent Development; Company Culture; and Project Management is advantageous.
