Lead Talent Management Transformation

CPP Investments seeks a Director, Talent Management to spearhead the development and implementation of best-in-class talent management programs, processes, and practices. Reporting to the Managing Director of Talent Management & Organizational Effectiveness, the successful candidate will partner with internal and external stakeholders to elevate talent practices and employee engagement in support of the organization's multi-year transformation journey.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead large-scale talent management programs and processes, including performance management, development planning, potential identification, succession management, competency model management, executive coaching, and assessment management.
  • Partner with Talent Business Partners, ED&I, and other COEs to evolve and implement talent programs and processes aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Lead the implementation of a redesigned potential identification, talent review, and succession planning framework to build a diverse and ready pipeline of high-potential successors.
  • Design and implement a coaching and assessment strategy to support talent pipeline development.
  • Establish a measurement strategy to assess and monitor the effectiveness of talent management programs and identify enhancements.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in developing and leading large-scale talent management programs and processes, preferably in the financial or professional services industry.
  • Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in a related field, or professional designation (e.g., CHRE, CCMP).
  • Demonstrated business acumen, project management, change management, and design thinking skills in complex, global organizations.
  • Proven track record of internal and external relationship-building, influencing, and cross-functional partnership skills.
  • Highly analytical with a demonstrated practice of sourcing, reading, and interpreting data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
