As an integral member of the oncology team, you will contribute to critical areas such as Systemic Therapy, Radiation Therapy, and Clinical Trials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe and process clinician orders, ensuring timely communication of requisitions for tests and services through the electronic health record system.
  • Coordinate multiple patient appointments for diagnostic and therapeutic services, providing clear instructions to patients through various communication methods.
  • Collect and organize patient information to facilitate smooth clinical workflows, preparing necessary documentation for the healthcare team.
  • Execute a range of receptionist duties, including patient registration, telephone management, and responding to inquiries with professionalism.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new staff, demonstrating procedures and addressing questions as needed.

Qualifications

You should possess:

  • A high school diploma, completion of a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk Program, and at least one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to effectively interact with diverse individuals.
  • Physical capability to perform the duties required of the position.
  • Proficiency in keyboarding and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with various computer software applications.
  • A commitment to fostering reconciliation and understanding of Indigenous cultural safety.
