About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented Construction Assistant to join our team at SRK Construction Ltd. As a Construction Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction team in various tasks and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the construction site.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing the construction site by leveling earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Task Execution: Perform routine maintenance work, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, and direct traffic at or near construction sites.
  • Specialized Tasks: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, as well as mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Support Functions: Provide support to the medical examiner in charge and assist in other tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, noisy, and dusty.
  • Work Setting: Construction site.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability and team player.
  • Green Job: Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Support for Youths: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth.
