About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Assistant to join our team at s.s.w construction Ltd. As a Construction Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction team in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from construction sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the supervision of skilled tradespersons.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, as well as assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications and assist in demolishing buildings.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites and clean and pile salvaged materials.
  • Assist skilled tradespersons in various tasks and provide support as needed.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to handle heavy loads. You will be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions, and will need to be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed.
