About Mario's Kitchen

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing exceptional service to our customers, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
    • Portion and wrap foods for serving.
    • Package take-out food for customers.
  • Kitchen Maintenance and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
    • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits for cooking.
    • Scour pots and pans to maintain their condition.
  • Supply Management and Inventory
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Restock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients.
  • Customer Service
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
    • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • General Kitchen Duties
    • Load buspans and trays with clean dishes and utensils.
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
    • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • Will train on the job.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
    • Physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.
    • Overtime required during peak periods.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience
    • Conventional oven.
    • Deep fryer.
    • Food dispensers.
    • Grill.

    • Public transportation available.
