About Mario's Kitchen

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant looking for a skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to a high standard.
    • Portion and wrap foods for serving.
    • Package take-out food for customers.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
    • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
    • Scour pots and pans.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Customer Service
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Equipment and Machinery Operation
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
    • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Work Environment and Safety
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
    • Handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
    • Work under pressure and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • Will train on the job.
  • Language and Communication
    • Work Language: English.
  • Work Environment and Physical Capabilities
    • Fast-paced environment.
    • Handling heavy loads.
    • Overtime required.
    • Physically demanding.
    • Repetitive tasks.
    • Standing for extended periods.
