French Immersion Teacher

We are seeking a qualified French Immersion Teacher to join our team at the Durham District School Board. This is a part-time position, working 0.5 FTE, teaching French Immersion to Grade 8 students.
Key Responsibilities- Teach French Immersion to Grade 8 students, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to ensure students meet curriculum expectations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote student success.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Qualifications in French as a Second Language (FSL) or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the Board's written French competency test.
- Experience teaching French Immersion to Grade 8 students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
