French Immersion Teacher Position at Durham Catholic District School Board

We are seeking a qualified French Immersion Teacher to fill a Long-Term Occasional (LTO) position at Durham Catholic District School Board.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French Immersion students in grades 1 and 2, providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging French Immersion lessons to students in grades 1 and 2
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
- Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and motivation
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Certification in good standing from the Ontario College of Teachers
- Primary Basic Qualifications French as a Second Language Part 1 Required, with native-like fluency
- Experience teaching French Immersion students in grades 1 and 2
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
