We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced French Immersion Teacher to fill a Long-Term Substitute position at Durham Catholic District School Board.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French Immersion students in a Grade 1 classroom, providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and social growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging French Immersion lessons to Grade 1 students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives
Requirements:
  • Valid Ontario Teaching Certificate
  • Experience teaching French Immersion in a Grade 1 classroom
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
