Job Summary

Railserve, Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Leader to join our team. As a Site Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our rail car loading, unloading, and moving services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
  • Assume responsibility for site safety leadership duties as required.
  • Train and develop employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Identify and develop employees for leadership roles within the organization.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with customers by providing exceptional service and meeting their expectations.
  • Manage the operation to ensure all aspects of the contract are met.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment.
  • Set up work schedules to ensure the right mix of experience and skills.
  • Perform administrative duties, including timekeeping and reporting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of rail and process operations experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience highly preferred.
  • Proficient with computers, MS Word, Excel, and other software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess multiple tasks and develop a plan to complete them in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team.

Working Conditions

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to outside weather conditions. The employee may be required to work nights, holidays, and weekends. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
