About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales General Manager to join our team at Nanaimo Home Furnishings. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing strategic plans to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
  • Department Establishment: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
  • Regional Coordination: Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments.
  • Organizational Objectives: Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs.
  • Representation: Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.
  • Financial and Administrative Controls: Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning.
Supervision and Team Management
  • Supervise a team of 1 to 10 people.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a sales or management role.
  • Work Setting: Retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre.
  • Area of Specialization: Sales.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under tight deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, and a team player.
Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
