As a Lead Environmental Project Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing environmental projects that align with our commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Your Responsibilities:

In this role, you will oversee regulatory compliance and permitting initiatives, guiding a diverse team to produce proposals, Environmental Assessments (EAs), Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), permit submissions, and related management strategies.

This position offers the chance to leverage your established connections within the industry, alongside your robust project management expertise, to effectively lead environmental assessments and permitting processes for significant capital ventures.

You will act as a representative of our organization, playing a crucial role in business development and securing new project opportunities.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

A minimum of four years of consulting experience, particularly in impact assessment and permitting within the mining industry in British Columbia, is essential.

A proven history of successfully managing intricate projects in the mining sector or comparable fields is necessary.

Strong team-building and influencing capabilities, combined with integrity, confidence, and the ability to effectively address client and organizational needs, are vital.

Experience collaborating with provincial and federal regulatory bodies, Indigenous groups, and the public, along with an understanding of key factors influencing the BC mining sector, is important.

Experience managing environmental regulatory projects in Alberta, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Ontario is advantageous.

Demonstrated project management proficiency, with a solid grasp of project controls and impact assessment best practices, is required.

Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills are essential.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling tools, and project management methodologies is expected.

Ability to excel in high-pressure situations, adeptly managing a variety of internal and external stakeholders, and thriving within a dynamic team environment is crucial.

Flexibility and adaptability to navigate fast-paced settings while managing multiple projects concurrently are necessary.
