Qualifications

Work Environment

The position is based in a sheet metal fabrication workshop, where you will be involved in various tasks related to metal processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize metal cleaning machinery to eliminate excess welds, rust, and other contaminants from metal surfaces.
  • Soak metal items in appropriate cleaning solutions to ensure thorough cleansing.
  • Assist experienced metal workers, including structural steel fitters and machine operators, in their daily tasks.
  • Organize and categorize metal sheets, parts, and scrap materials.
  • Employ hand tools to grind or chip away excess metal from products.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machinery and workspaces.
  • Handle loading and unloading of materials and products.
  • Polish metal items to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Interpret and follow work orders accurately.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and engage in physically demanding work.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
Weight Handling

Must be able to lift weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
