Material Handler

**Job Purpose**:
Assist in various functions of our operations while following all safety, environmental, and quality practices, within a custom fabrication environment, reporting to the Shift Supervisor. **(This position is hiring for Day & Afternoon Shift)**

**Job Duties**:
Opportunity to learn various pieces of equipment or processes in a backup situation.
Produce quality product while focusing on given standards.
Cleaning duties such as sanitize/disinfect/sweep floors
Maintains safe and clean work areas by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintains cleanliness of shop service vehicles
Painting of floors/posts on shop floor
Snow removal from doorways (winter seasons)
Ability to operate hand power tools safely.
Ability to perform equipment inspections/checklists when required.
Operate in a safe manner forklift equipment to deliver or store various parts.
Handle heavy materials manually and with overhead cranes in a safe and efficient manner
Conforms to departmental safety requirements.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Willing to cross train as needed

**Skills/Qualifications**:
**Overhead Crane & Propane Forklift knowledge an asset**

**Education/Experience**:
Pay: From $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mount Forest, ON N0G 2L0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Overhead Crane: 1 year (required)
- Propane Forklift: 1 year (required)
