Production Planning Coordinator

Role Overview
As a vital member of the Production Planning team, you will assist the Master Planners in developing a comprehensive 3-week integrated Production Plan for all Distribution facilities within our network. Your contributions will also include serving as a backup Master Planner when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical assessments to enhance Operations Planning, Distribution, and Transportation processes, providing recommendations aimed at reducing operational costs and enhancing service delivery to stores and customers.
- Engage in data analysis, create dashboards, and automate existing processes while proposing innovative solutions for improved efficiency.
- Collaborate across various functions including Distribution, Transportation, Operations Planning, Project teams, Merchandising, and Stores to facilitate informed business decisions that prioritize cost-effectiveness, quality, performance, and reliability.
- Work with diverse teams at different organizational levels to ensure deadlines and requirements are met effectively.
- Contribute to projects aimed at refining the tools and methodologies used in the formulation and execution of Distribution Centre plans.
- Address and propose solutions for unexpected challenges impacting supply chain operations, such as severe weather conditions or disruptions in carrier services.
- Interact with stakeholders including Distribution Centres, Regional Operations, Transportation, Operations Planning teams, Merchandising, Project Teams, and Stores/Dealers.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Business, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficient data analysis and querying skills, particularly with tools such as Access and Excel. Familiarity with Power BI, VBA, and/or Python is highly advantageous.
- Capability to analyze data sets and swiftly convert them into actionable insights and forecasts.
- Skill in interpreting requests from Executives, Master Planners, Managers, Team Leads, or cross-functional stakeholders to generate data-driven insights that support decision-making.
- A solid understanding of logistics principles, distribution processes, transportation, forecasting, and replenishment strategies, as well as both offshore and domestic shipping practices.
- Experience or education in Planning and Scheduling, including finite scheduling, constraint management, and advanced planning linked to capacity considerations, is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Blue Yonder JDA software (Demand & Fulfill and Transport), Oracle Transportation Management, and/or Daily Planning/Operations Planning Applications is a plus.
- A collaborative team player who fosters teamwork and cooperation.
