Position Overview

The RI-MUHC stands as a leading institution in biomedical and clinical research, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Our mission is to foster scientific advancements that enhance healthcare outcomes.

Project Focus

This research position centers on a project that employs multimodal artificial intelligence to forecast treatment responses and survival rates in patients with bladder cancer undergoing organ preservation therapies. The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Curating and managing the dataset collected during the research
  • Pre-processing and preparing data for analysis
  • Conducting feature selection and engineering
  • Developing data representations from histopathology images
Performance Expectations

Regular participation in progress meetings will be required to ensure the project remains on track. Performance will be evaluated based on:

  • The successful curation and preprocessing of datasets for machine learning applications
  • The quality of data representations derived from histopathology slides
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field with a focus on machine learning. Prior experience in machine learning is essential.

Additional Skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of machine learning concepts; familiarity with deep learning techniques is advantageous
Position Details

This is a temporary, full-time position with a compensation package commensurate with qualifications and experience. The role requires adherence to standard office hours.
