Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Student to join our team at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC). As a leading biomedical research centre, we are committed to advancing scientific discovery and innovation in patient-centered medicine.

Research Project

The successful candidate will be working on a research project focused on developing a prediction model to predict the response and survival of bladder cancer patients treated with organ preservation approaches. The project involves curating a large dataset, pre-processing the data, and building a machine learning model to predict patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Curate and preprocess the collected dataset
  • Feature selection and engineering
  • Obtain data representation of histopathology slides
  • Participate in weekly meetings to ensure progress
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Machine Learning
  • Machine learning experience is required
  • Good knowledge of machine learning and deep learning
  • Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision
