Job Title: Pediatric Radiology Department Head

We are seeking an accomplished pediatric radiologist to advance the research, academic, and clinical pillars of the Department of Radiology at BC Children's Hospital.

About the Department

The Department of Radiology at BC Children's Hospital includes a team of 18 pediatric radiologists, pediatric interventional radiologists, and nuclear medicine physicians. We are equipped with state-of-the-art 3T and T MRI, CT, US, Nuclear Medicine, fluoroscopy, radiography, and angiography/IR systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the clinical, educational, and research roles of the department are achieved in accordance with the purpose, vision, and goals of BCCH and PHSA, as well as the Faculty of Medicine, University of British Columbia.
  2. Share responsibility for the overall management of the department's clinical programs, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and working in a co-leadership model with the Medical Imaging Operations Director.
  3. Drive the planning and delivery of medical services based on the needs of the department, the hospital, and the province to align with PHSA's overall strategy.
  4. Work in collaboration with other medical leaders in the hospital and Health Authorities within BC to enable improved patient outcomes and experiences.
  5. Deliver and manage medical programs, including quality, safety, and medical staff development and support within the department.
Qualifications

Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the Province of British Columbia, have or be eligible for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Diagnostic Radiology, and have completed a recognized fellowship in Pediatric Radiology or Pediatric Neuroradiology.

Demonstrated leadership in clinical research, education, or quality improvement is desirable. Successful candidates will have at least 10 years of advancing leadership experience. The successful candidate will be recommended for faculty appointment to the University of British Columbia.
