Pediatric Radiology Department Head

Job Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished pediatric radiologist to lead our Department of Radiology at BC Children's Hospital. As Department Head, you will be responsible for advancing the research, academic, and clinical pillars of the department.
About the Department:
The Department of Radiology at BC Children's Hospital includes a team of 18 pediatric radiologists, pediatric interventional radiologists, and nuclear medicine physicians. We are equipped with state-of-the-art imaging systems and offer medical school, residency, and fellowship training in pediatric radiology and pediatric interventional radiology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the clinical, educational, and research roles of the department are achieved in accordance with the purpose, vision, and goals of BCCH and PHSA.
- Drive the planning and delivery of medical services based on the needs of the department, the hospital, and the province.
- Work in collaboration with other medical leaders in the hospital and Health Authorities within BC to enable improved patient outcomes and experiences.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the Province of British Columbia, have or be eligible for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Diagnostic Radiology, and have completed a recognized fellowship in Pediatric Radiology or Pediatric Neuroradiology.
Desirable Qualities:
Demonstrated leadership in clinical research, education, or quality improvement is desirable. Successful candidates will have at least 10 years of advancing leadership experience.
