Lead a Team of Pediatric Radiologists at BC Children's Hospital

The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) is seeking an accomplished pediatric radiologist to lead the Radiology Department at BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of pediatric radiology within a renowned academic medical center.

About the Department

The Radiology Department at BC Children's Hospital is a dynamic and collaborative environment comprised of 18 dedicated pediatric radiologists, interventional radiologists, and nuclear medicine physicians. Equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy, radiography, and angiography/IR systems, the department provides comprehensive diagnostic and interventional services to young patients.

Your Responsibilities
  • Clinical Excellence: Oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical radiology services, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Academic Leadership: Foster a culture of research, education, and innovation within the department, collaborating with the University of British Columbia to provide training programs in pediatric radiology and interventional radiology.
  • Strategic Direction: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance departmental operations, optimize resource allocation, and align with the hospital's and university's goals.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with other medical leaders, administrative staff, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of radiology services within the healthcare system.
Your Qualifications
  • Eligible for medical licensure in British Columbia
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Radiology or Pediatric Neuroradiology
  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong background in clinical research, education, or quality improvement
