Grape Harvest Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vineyard Worker to join our team at FRIND WINERY LTD. As a key member of our vineyard team, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the growth of our vines, ensuring the highest quality grapes for our wine production.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and manage vine growth: Ensure optimal conditions for grape production, including pruning, training, and monitoring vine health.
- Plant and cultivate crops: Plant new vines, cultivate existing ones, and ensure proper irrigation and fertilization.
- Operate and maintain farm equipment: Use tractors and other machinery to plant, cultivate, and harvest crops.
- Train and supervise staff: Train new employees in vineyard duties and policies, and supervise their work to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Harvest and process grapes: Participate in the harvesting and processing of grapes, ensuring timely and efficient production.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Physical demands: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Language: English language proficiency.
- Work site environment: Viticulture, wet/damp, dusty, hot, and all weather conditions.
- Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor operation and maintenance, hand tool use.
- Automated systems experience: Automated irrigation system operation and maintenance.

- Hours: 40 hours per week.
