Vineyard Worker Job Description

FRIND WINERY LTD is seeking a skilled Vineyard Worker to join our team. As a Vineyard Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the growth of vines, vine canopy, and grapes. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and manage growth of vines, vine canopy, and grapes
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
  • Tie and secure plants
  • Harvest crops
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Train workers in duties and policies
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Valid driver's license
Work Environment:

Viticulture, wet/damp, dusty, hot, all weather conditions, dirty

Equipment and Machinery Experience:
  • Tractor
  • Hand tools
Automated Systems Experience:
  • Automated irrigation system
Transportation/Travel Information:
  • Valid driver's license
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Work under pressure
  • Physically demanding
  • Attention to detail
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Overtime required
Weight Handling:
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
