Grape Harvesting Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Vineyard Worker to contribute to the successful management and cultivation of our grape production at FRIND WINERY LTD. This role involves various responsibilities that are essential for maintaining the health and productivity of our vineyards.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years in a similar role.
The work will take place in a variety of conditions typical of vineyard settings, including:
- Wet and damp environments
- Dusty and hot conditions
- Exposure to all weather conditions
- Occasionally dirty work conditions
- Oversee and manage the growth of vines, including the vine canopy and grape clusters.
- Engage in planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops.
- Secure and tie plants as necessary.
- Conduct harvesting of crops.
- Operate and maintain various farm machinery and equipment.
- Train and guide other workers in their duties and company policies.
The primary crop involved in this position is:
- Grapes
- Vineyard management
Experience with the following equipment is required:
- Tractors
- Hand tools
- Transportation: A valid driver's license is necessary.
- Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks, work under pressure, and engage in physically demanding activities such as standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Weight Handling: Ability to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
