Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Jitterbugs Childcare Inc. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities and programs for our young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Support educators in maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts.
  • Prepare snacks and set up rooms for meals and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and document findings.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and challenges.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Contribute to creating a safe and healthy environment for children.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent position.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 40 hours per week.
