About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Jitterbugs Childcare Inc. As an assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities and programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that cater to the diverse needs of children.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate records and reports on children's progress and development.
  • Engage children in various activities, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts, to promote their learning and creativity.
  • Prepare healthy snacks and ensure a safe and organized environment for children during rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and communicate with educators and parents to address these concerns.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and contribute to the development of strategies to support their growth.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment with a 40-hour workweek.
  • Fluency in English.
