About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Jitterbugs Childcare Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs that promote the growth and well-being of children
  • Support educators in maintaining accurate records and submitting written observations on children
  • Engage children in activities that foster learning and development, such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports for parents or guardians
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and community service providers
  • Contribute to creating a safe and healthy environment for children
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 40 hours per week
