Long Haul Truck Driver

Thar Trucking Ltd is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
- AZ class license
- Air Brakes Endorsement
- Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Valid passport and driver's validity licence check
- Driving record check (abstract) and drug test
As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, often away from home for extended periods. You will be required to work overtime and be physically demanding, handling heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
