Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, adhering to company procedures and regulations.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and to identify any potential issues.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely communication and updates.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to maintain accurate records.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, adhering to company procedures and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license (Class 1 or A).
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and gain experience in long haul truck driving.
Work Environment:
