About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Audio Designer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As an Audio Designer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the sonic identity of our game's universe.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with game designers and gameplay engineers to bring prototype features to life, focusing on player comprehensibility and situational awareness.
  • Develop expertise in our engine's audio tools pipeline and provide guidance to our engineering department on improving its capabilities and efficiency.
  • Record source material in the field as needed, design original sounds across various categories, and contribute to the game's overall audio landscape.
  • Assist with lightweight self-production tasks, including task breakdowns, estimates, and timekeeping.
  • Model our company culture and help build the team by rotating through interview panels, onboarding new hires, and participating in open team discussions.
  • Promote an inclusive work environment and contribute to project-level discussions with all disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in video game audio design.
  • A strong online portfolio showcasing shipped work in an in-game context is preferred.
  • Ability to explain your audio design process and break down your creative philosophy, citing specific examples from your past work.
