Your responsibilities will include...

The Project Delivery Department within the Asset Management Division is tasked with planning and executing capital projects that either introduce new infrastructure or enhance existing fleet assets. Project management resources are assigned to specialized teams focused on various asset classes. The team dedicated to Low Carbon and On-Street Infrastructure is responsible for developing energy distribution systems for low carbon fleets and constructing transit exchanges and priority infrastructure on local government-controlled roadways. The Fleet Capital Project team manages the acquisition of replacement and expansion transit vehicles for all BC Transit-operated systems across the province, as well as overseeing major maintenance for existing fleets.

Reporting to the Program Manager, Capital Fleet Projects, the Project Manager for Fleet Capital Projects will oversee vehicle asset initiatives, including the planning, acquisition, and implementation of various classifications of transit vehicles, maintenance vehicles, corporate pool cars, electric charging stations, and other related components.

  • PMP Designation
  • Experience as a Project Manager, preferably within a governmental or similarly large organization
  • Knowledge of public transit or commercial vehicle transportation is advantageous
