Key Responsibilities...

The Project Delivery Department within the Asset Management Division is tasked with planning and executing capital projects that either introduce new infrastructure or enhance existing fleet assets. Our project management teams are specialized in various asset categories. The Low Carbon and On-Street Infrastructure team focuses on developing low carbon fleet energy distribution systems and constructing transit priority infrastructure, including transit lanes and intersection enhancements. The Fleet Capital Projects team oversees the acquisition of replacement and expansion transit vehicles across the province, as well as major maintenance of existing fleets.

Reporting to the Program Manager, Capital Fleet Projects, the Project Manager for Fleet Capital Projects will manage vehicle asset initiatives, which include the planning, acquisition, and implementation of various transit vehicles, maintenance vehicles, corporate pool cars, electric charging stations, and portable hoists. This role also involves developing and managing the Transmission, Engine, and Differential (TED) Program for conventional buses throughout the province.

  • PMP Designation
  • Experience as a Project Manager, preferably within a governmental or similarly large organization
  • Knowledge of public transit or commercial vehicle transportation is advantageous
