Key Responsibilities...

The Project Delivery Department within the Asset Management Division is tasked with planning and executing capital projects that either introduce new infrastructure or upgrade existing fleet assets. Project management resources are assigned to specialized teams that focus on various asset classes. The team dedicated to Low Carbon and On-Street Infrastructure is responsible for constructing energy distribution and dispensing infrastructure for low carbon fleets, as well as developing transit exchanges and on-street transit priority infrastructure.

The Fleet Capital Projects team oversees the acquisition of replacement and expansion transit vehicles for all BC Transit-operated systems throughout the province, in addition to managing major maintenance of existing fleets.

Reporting to the Program Manager, Capital Fleet Projects, the Project Manager for Fleet Capital Projects will manage vehicle asset projects, including the planning, acquisition, and implementation of various classifications of transit vehicles, maintenance and operational service vehicles, corporate pool cars, electric charging stations, and other essential components.

  • PMP Designation
  • Experience as a Project Manager, preferably within a governmental or similarly large organization
  • Knowledge of public transit or commercial vehicle transportation is advantageous
