About the Role

Adecco Canada is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our client's team in a warehouse setting. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $19 per hour, with opportunities for overtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Forklifts Safely: Move materials within the facility, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Load and Unload Trucks: Load and unload trucks, stack and unstack pallets, and perform other material handling tasks as required.
  • Conduct Routine Inspections: Regularly inspect forklifts and report any maintenance issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work with warehouse team members to achieve operational goals and maintain a productive work environment.
  • Travel and Transportation: Travel between locations, requiring a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Work in Temperature-Controlled Environment: Work in a temperature-controlled/refrigerated environment, requiring adaptability and flexibility.
  • Work Overtime: Be available to work overtime when needed to support our customer's needs.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2 years of forklift experience, with a minimum of 1 year operating a counterbalance forklift/reach truck/powered walkie in a warehouse setting.
  • References: Ability to provide two employment references that can attest to your safe equipment operation.
  • Physical Abilities: Physical ability to lift and move heavy items, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including the use of iPads and RF scanners.
  • Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to work at different work sites as needed.
  • Criminal Background Check: Must have a clear criminal background and consent to completing a background check.
  • Eligibility to Work in Canada: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
