Job Summary

The Warehouse Person/Driver is a critical role within Emmerson Packaging, responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of materials in the warehouse. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads trucks at Emmerson Packaging, utilizing a forklift, pallet jack, or manual labor to ensure safe and efficient material handling.
  • Moves materials between departments, adhering to company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Maintains stock areas at Emmerson Packaging, ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient storage practices.
  • Verifies packing slips and labels for accuracy, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Retrieves and prepares materials according to Shipping Release and job envelope information, demonstrating a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Receives and maintains bills of lading and packing slips for use in reports, showcasing attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Coordinates arrangements with trucking companies for special pick-ups or deliveries, demonstrating effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Performs minor preventive maintenance on forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring equipment is in good working condition and adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Secondary school (High School) diploma, or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and communication skills.
  • Forklift license, with a proven track record of safe and efficient material handling practices.
