Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Classroom Support Specialist to join our team at District School Board Ontario North East. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to students with special education needs in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with varying ages and abilities, focusing on their academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and physical needs.
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum and reaching their full potential in integrated and high-support settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Educational Assistant, Early Childhood Education, Developmental Services Worker, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with special education needs, preferably in a school setting.
