As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and solutions for the SAP Employee Central Payroll solution and SAP S/4 Hana Payroll Solution.
Key Responsibilities- Ongoing Maintenance: Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the SAP Payroll system, including HRSPs, upgrades, maintenance plans, and ticket resolution.
- Global Payroll Solutions: Analyzing, advising, and supporting global payroll solutions, ensuring compliance with Newmont's policies and legislation.
- IT Projects and Production: Supporting IT projects and production activities for the Argentinian Payroll and other countries in the Americas.
- Solution Design and Delivery: Designing and delivering payroll solutions, including testing and implementation.
- Documentation: Providing detailed documentation of business requirements and solutions for payroll.
- Integration: Partnering with business and IT areas to satisfy integration requirements for payroll, following Newmont and country standards, policies, and legislation.
- Implementation Planning: Planning and coordinating the implementation process for payroll solutions.
- Project Management: Executing initiatives following project methodology (agile or hybrid) using Newmont's project management tools.
- Best Practices: Following Newmont's IT operating model and best practices to deliver payroll solutions.
- Ticket Resolution: Working on ticket resolution, investigation, research, and solution using available internal and external resources.
- Education: B.Sc. in Information Technology or Production Engineering or Computer Science is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as an SAP Payroll Consultant, including 5 years of experience in full payroll implementations in the SAP Payroll solution.
- Industry Experience: Mining, construction, utilities, or other heavy industry experience is preferred.
- SAP Payroll Implementation: SAP Payroll implementation for Canada and/or other countries in the Americas.
- Technical Skills: Must have the ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel applications, and MS office software.
- Certifications: SAP Success Factors Employee Central Payroll (Certification is desired).
- Payroll Knowledge: Experience with Payroll Control Center; SAP ECC 6.0; Wagetypes, Schemas, PCRs, Factoring, Retroactivity, Terminations, Forms, Gross to Net, Infotypes, Payroll Reports, Bank Transfer, Payroll Posting, Posting of Payments, 3rd Party Remittance, Advance Payments, Gross Up, Remuneration Statement, Payroll Accruals, Month-End Accruals, Garnishments, Earnings, Deductions.
- Integration Experience: Experience with Integration with UKG Dimensions and implementation HRSPs, and execution of year-end process, T4, T4A, RL1, and RL2 is desirable.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving capabilities, including defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Communication: Expressing ideas effectively, both orally and in writing, and presenting information and responding to questions from managers, co-workers, and partners.
- Salary: The salary range offered for this role is CAD 114,000 to 151,000, tied to the Ontario market for jobs performed in Canada.
- Benefits: Eligible for participation in a discretionary short-term incentive program, group benefits plans, life insurance, pension, extended medical, dental, disability, and vision.
- Work Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week, with flexible hours to accommodate global support times.
- Travel: Position may be required to travel to and assist other domestic and international sites.
