Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the Rockyview General Hospital Emergency Department. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, and communities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Utilize nursing processes, including critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, to deliver safe and effective patient care.
  • Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families, promoting health promotion and maintenance.
  • Contribute to a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide safe, quality patient-centered care, reflecting the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • Minimum one year of experience, within the last two years, full-time equivalent (1536 worked hours) nursing experience in critical care or complex medical/surgical acute care settings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Calgary zone Emergency position.
  • Current RGH Emergency trained, other Emergency/UC nursing experience will be considered.
  • Certification in Emergency Nursing (ACCN), ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, and CTAS courses.
