Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner is a key member of the Alberta Health Services team, providing comprehensive direct patient care to outpatients referred to the clinic. This role involves working closely with other specialists to assess, diagnose, and manage client care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessment, triage, diagnosis, intervention, management, referral, and evaluation of client care
- Work collaboratively with other specialists to develop and implement patient care plans
- Lead and participate in program development and evaluation, research, and clinical teaching activities
- Provide leadership and guidance to other healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program and a minimum of master's degree
- Registration with CRNA on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in Pulmonary nursing, acute care, and/or Outpatient settings
- Additional training in ECG interpretation, Lab and DI investigations
