AutoCanada is a leading Canadian automotive retailer, committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Parts Consultant to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead our parts department, providing expert guidance and support to our customers and technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive parts and service operations, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and source parts for customers or technicians, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Issue parts price quotes and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices.
  • Sell parts to customers or service work orders, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Complete special-order parts requests, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Communicate with customers on the status of parts ordered, providing regular updates and notifications upon delivery.
  • Pick-up parts for customers or technicians as required, ensuring efficient and reliable service.
  • Restock shelves and maintain inventory levels, adhering to company standards and procedures.
  • Keep work areas and displays clean and organized, maintaining a safe and professional environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in an automotive dealership and/or parts department.
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program and/or training courses is considered an asset.
  • Experience with CDK is considered an asset.
  • A detailed understanding of parts and service operations, including inventory management and control.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A person of professionalism and high integrity, trusted by others and consistently honoring commitments.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and resourceful, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • High-level skills in Word, Excel, and MS Office, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time.
  • Must possess a valid Ontario driver's license and have a safe driving history.
