Your Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Health Care Aide. As a collaborative member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide personal assistance and support services to patients who require short-term assistance or ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and safety needs.
- Support patients with organized activities or programs, and observe and report on their mood, health, and wellbeing.
- Work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to provide a safe and supportive environment.
- Assist nurses with the provision of routine care, including administering medications and providing wound care.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.
- Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
- Must provide a confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of patient care plans and facility policies and procedures.
